Manager catering sales

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Three (3) years of experience in the same or similar position preferred.
Must have computer skills.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
Organize and monitor food and beverage services for banquet/event functions
Ensure compliance with established company, health and regulatory agency standards and procedures.
Staff and schedule personnel for all catering functions, including setup, operation, and breakdown.
Maintain payroll and gratuity records for catering personnel.
Request and maintain inventories of china, glass, silverware, small wares, equipment, uniforms, etc., used by catering department.
Review and approve all personnel actions; i.e., hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary action, training, and discharges.
Communicate with clients requesting catering services to create appropriate menus that comply with food and beverage preferences, as well as cost requirements.
Coordinate events and functions scheduled with affected departments.
Read and understand financial reports generated by applicable department and generates reports for management.
Make collection or billing arrangements for payment of all catering functions.
Prepare financial reports computing food and beverage cost percentages.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
